Web App Creation and Deployment
Purpose-built web apps for the job no off-the-shelf tool quite fits, at a fraction of the cost.
Sound familiar?
- You pay monthly for software you use a tenth of.
- Someone updates a spreadsheet by hand while everyone waits.
- The tool you need exists, but only for companies ten times your size.
What the system handles
- Collecting entries from forms and spreadsheets
- Sorting, calculating, and ranking by your rules
- Publishing results the moment they arrive
- Keeping the page current without anyone touching it
What your people get back to
Running the event, serving the customer, making the call.
What you get
- A one-page spec: what goes in, what the app does, and what comes out
- A working web app built on Google Workspace or another platform you already pay for
- Deployment on your own website or as a standalone link
- Rules and settings kept in a spreadsheet or short config your team can change
- A test run with real data before launch
How it works
- AssessWrite down the job, the inputs your team already has, and what the output needs to look like.
- BuildBuild the app on your existing platform and embed it where people will actually use it.
- MeasureTrack hours saved, errors, and how often the page gets used.
- AdjustChange the rules and layout as the job evolves.
Built and running in my own business
For a climbing competition I built a live scoreboard. Competitors submit their scores through a Google Form, and the app sorts each entry into the right category, applies the scoring rules, and rank-orders six boards as submissions arrive. It runs on Google Apps Script and is embedded on the event's Squarespace site, so results update live without anyone keeping score by hand.

Questions owners ask
-
Usually Google Workspace, which most small businesses already pay for. The app lives in your account, so you own it and nothing new gets billed monthly.
-
No. The rules and settings live in a spreadsheet or a short config your team can edit. Anything bigger than that, I handle.
-
A focused app like a scoreboard, calculator, or tracker is scoped, built, and deployed in days, not months. Larger builds start with a Business Insight Sprint so the scope is clear before anything gets built.
